An MSC-managed containership has spilled a small amount of fuel after hitting a pier while under pilotage in Turkey.
The 5,711-teu MSC Katyayni (built 1996) was holed above the waterline on Monday morning at Yilport in Gebze, damaging a fuel tank, local media reported.
Footage showed a gash in its side.
Oil booms were put in place and two tugs brought in.
