Law firm HFW has said it agrees that a new industry body should be set up to help prevent increasingly dangerous and costly boxship incidents.
Head of shipping Craig Neame said there have been rumours that a new safety agency may be set up through the World Shipping Council, a body representing liner companies.
"We don't know what, but they might do something," he told TradeWinds.
