Hong Kong owner Pacific Basin has revealed a 30% rise in rates for its supramaxes in a stronger third quarter.
The company said average daily time-charter equivalent (TCE) earnings hit $12,180, while handysizes increased 24% to $10,080 year-on-year.
As of 10 October, it has 68% of 10,790 handysize days contracted at around $10,560 per day, and 78% of 5,290 supramax days fixed at $11,970.
