The spot market for VLGCs has been rising steeply and reached around $20,000 per day this week.
Rates increased some $6,000 per day last week, when growth was particularly strong.
Avance Gas chief executive Christian Andersen said there had been a gradual development in the market, thanks to record volumes from the Middle East, especially Iran, and good growth in the US market.
