Danaos Corp is the latest shipowner to say it will use exhaust gas scrubbers to meet IMO 2020, but only a few.
"It will be a solution for a very small part of the fleet, not the whole fleet," chief executive Dr John Coustas said today during a second-quarter earnings call.
"The fleet will need to rely on compliant fuels."
