The Maria Tsakos Foundation assembled scores of dignitaries on the Greek island of Chios in September to celebrate the opening of its groundbreaking maritime educational facility.
The Tsakos Enhanced Education Nautical School (Teens) is Greece’s first vocational, non-profit maritime high school.
It aims to provide seagoing education to 15 to 17-year-old students, in addition to the regular classes they receive as part of the Greek national curriculum.
