New project, breakbulk and heavy-lift shipping company Zeamarine has been cleared to start operations.
The tie-up, formed by Zeaborn Group and Intermarine, and including the assets of Zeaborn's Rickmers-Linie, was agreed in May.
Government and agency approvals have been received and the company is now up and running in Houston, it said.
It will have more than 85 vessels initially and is expected to exceed 100 by year-end.
