Greek owner Olympic Shipping and Management has locked two of its VLCCs into time charters as Al-Iraqia Shipping Services & Oil Trading (Aissot) continues to boost its fleet.
Aissot has taken the 299,000-dwt Olympic Luna and Olympic Lady (both built 2017) on 12 month contracts, which brokers price at $29,000 per day each.
George Karageorgiou, chief executive of Olympic Shipping, confirms the contracts but declines to comment on the rate, citing confidentiality clauses.
