Suezmax tankers appear hardest hit by a faster-than-expected decline in Iranian oil shipments.
Countries so far pulling back from taking Iranian crude, in the wake of US President Donald Trump withdrawing from the nuclear agreement, are said to be predominantly in Europe.
Those cargoes are carried through the Suez Canal using suezmax tonnage, whereas exports to India, China and elsewhere in Asia rely on VLCCs.
