China’s Nanjing Tanker is said to have approached domestic yards as it mulls an order for up to six MR product tankers.
Market sources said Nanjing Tanker, a subsidiary of Sinotrans & CSC Holdings, aims to renew its fleet with 50,000-dwt newbuildings and is looking for delivery in 2020.
One shipping source familiar with the state-owned shipowner confirmed the company’s newbuilding plans.
