The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is reported to be seeking to import LNG directly for the first time, reports Reuters.
The move is said to be part of a government plan to boost competition and break the monopoly of state-owned PTT, which is Thailand’s sole gas supplier.
