Canada is set to emerge the winner amid the growing uncertainties surrounding the US-China tariff war, with accelerating LPG exports out of British Columbia benefiting carriers.
“The US loss may be the Canadian gain,” Navigator chief executive David Butters said during the shipowner's second quarter conference call.
The ongoing spat between the US and China over tariffs may give the Canadian provincial and federal governments more incentive to coordinate their efforts and capture a large share of the LPG export market, Butters said.
