Arkas Line of Turkey is in talks with a Chinese shipbuilder over a potential order for up to four 3,100-teu containerships.
The deal would replace an earlier newbuilding contract for midsize containerships originally placed by Arkas at a bankrupt Chinese shipbuilder.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed it is in discussions with Guangzhou Wenchong of China.
