Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi (KGJS) has logged writedowns for its fleet as the Norwegian bulker and tanker company suffered from weak markets, according to 2017 figures that have just become available.
The Bergen-based company reported a pre-tax loss of nearly $166m for last year, compared with a $44m deficit in 2016.
The Hans Peter Jebsen and Kristian Gerhard Jebsen-controlled group has written down the value of shares in subsidiary SKS Tankers Holdings, which has one of the biggest tanker fleets in Norway.
