DHT Holdings has revealed plans to install scrubbers on a dozen on its trading VLCCs.
New York-listed DHT has a deal in place with Alfa Laval to supply the systems, which will add to the two scrubber fitted VLCCs the company has on order.
"We look at the upcoming IMO Sulphur Cap as an opportunity for DHT rather than a threat," the tanker owner said in a statement today
"This project could potentially create a super-profit for the ships in question and boost the already significant operational leverage in DHT."
