Robert Maersk Uggla’s AP Moller Holding is looking to develop Denmark’s first large scale geothermal heating project and has teamed up with specialist Danfoss.
The private investment company believes geothermal energy has the potential to provide 30% of the nation’s district heating, which would run to 500,000 households.
AP Moller Holding - which has been instrumental in AP Moller-Maersk moving out of the oil and energy related businesses- believes geothermal energy can play a similar role in heating to wind energy has in electricity.
