Swiss trader and shipowner Trafigura has signed a deal to take up excess LNG storage capacity in Singapore.
It has struck an agreement with Singapore LNG Corporation (SLNG) for 160,000 cbm of storage on Jurong island.
This is the second such deal with SLNG, following a similar contract in 2015.
The latest agreement lasts for two years.
“We are very glad to be renewing our partnership with SLNG,” said Chin Hwee Tan, Asia Pacific CEO for Trafigura.
