A company controlled by Tidships has made a NOK 257.7m ($32m) offer to take over Norwegian compatriot Belships.
Tidships' AS Consensio will pay NOK 5.50 per share in a voluntary cash deal for 100% of the stock.
It already has 10.72% of the company, whose major shareholder, Sverre Tidemand's Sonata, has been looking to sell its 67% stake.
The stock price rose 6.4%
