Norwegian tanker owner Bergshav is looking to buy tankers in the secondhand market after reporting that its profit doubled last year.
Atle Bergshaven, who owns the Grimstad-based outfit, said his company wants to buy four or five aframax tankers.
He said Bergshav is also seeking financial partners.
The company is looking primarily at South Korean or Japanese-built tonnage but does not rule out ships constructed at first-class Chinese yards.
