Jotun, one of the world’s largest providers of marine coating, has inked a job worth more than $10m to coat eight VLCCs under construction at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea.
The deal with Greece's Kyklades Maritime, which was formally signed during Posidonia, is one of the biggest single projects currently undertaken by Jotun Performance Coating. “Each VLCC alone requires 200,000 litres of paint,” said Dimitris Zarogiannis, Jotun’s marine global key account manager.
