Major merger and acquisition deals have captured headlines in the build-up to Posidonia – however almost 40% of the Greek fleet remains in the hands of shipowners with 10 vessels or less.
Figures from Clarksons Research show there were a total of 646 shipowners in Greece at the start of May this year, controlling a fleet worth $105bn.
