Singapore-headquartered China Navigation Co (CNCo) is powering ahead with its ongoing fleet replacement programme, confirming to TradeWinds that it ordered four additional boxships at CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding.
TradeWinds first reported the order in April.
Company officials described the contract for the four 2,750-teu vessels as an option that was attached to an order placed at the yard last year for four 2,400-teu vessels.
