Concordia Maritime has added to its crude tanker exposure by taking a 50% share in three suezmaxes chartered to Stena Bulk.
Kim Ullman-led Concordia explains the move is its latest in preparation for a tanker market upturn.
“We believe in products and the crude,” Ullman told TradeWinds, noting the product market was ahead in the recovery process.
The ships, a trio of 158,000-dwt ships built between 2012 and 2014, have been chartered for 12 months, with an option to extend until the end of 2019.
