Danish designer Knud E Hansen has revealed its design for new hybrid Grimaldi Group ro-ros that will have zero emissions in port.
It has signed a deal with Nanjing Jinling Shipyard in China for the blueprints.
Grimaldi ordered an initial six ships for $400m at the yard in April.
The first 64,000-gt ship is due in 2020.
It will be able to transport over 7,800 lane metres of rolling units, equivalent to approximately 500 trailers.
