Finnish bulker owner ESL Shipping has blamed icier sea conditions for lower first quarter profit.
The company's 18 ships brought in operating profit of EUR 2.6m ($3.1m) to 31 March, against EUR 3m in 2017.
Ice conditions in the Baltic and northern Europe were "significantly more difficult" than in the previous year, increasing fuel consumption and travel times, it said.
