Singapore's Epic Gas has bought three chartered-in LPG carriers and leased them out again to cut costs.
The company said it had exercised purchase options under leases expiring in the first quarter of next year.
It then entered into a finance lease transaction for five years with a Japanese shipowner, reducing its financial costs.
The 6,300-cbm Epic Balta (built 2000) and the 7,500-cbm Epic Burano and Epic Bolivar (both built 2002) are listed as previously owned by York Marine, Super League Marine and Camelot Marine respectively.
