Western shipping firms, as well as other related businesses, face a return to being barred from dealing with Iran as the US decides to reimpose sanctions.
US President Donald Trump announced that he would not re-certify the agreement struck with Iran to reestablish trade in return for eliminating much of its nuclear weapons development.
"The US will withdraw from Iran nuclear deal and reinstate sanctions against the Iranian regime," Trump said in a televised address.
