Maersk Tankers has inked its first expansionary move under its new ownership structure.
The Danish company has snapped up options on six LR2 newbuildings at Dalian Shipyard for delivery from 2020.
Soren C Meyer, chief strategy officer at Maersk Tankers, said: “Once delivered, the vessels will be under Maersk Tankers’ commercial, technical and corporate management.
