Genco Shipping & Trading chief executive John Wobensmith has edged out Seacor Holdings CEO Charles Fabrikant as shipping’s top US-based earner for 2017, public filings indicate.
Wobensmith’s compensation package of almost $5.4m slightly exceeded Fabrikant’s total of $5.27m, with Eagle Bulk Shipping CEO Gary Vogel coming a distant third among US executives at $3.6m, according to annual pay documents that companies are required to file if they are listed in the US.
