Nisshin Shipping has made its first sale-and-purchase deal of 2018, selling a modern handysize to Nova Marine Carriers.
According to VesselsValue and shipbroker reports, the company sold the 39,000-dwt Western Baltic (built 2015) for $17m.
While Nisshin has not sold or purchased any secondhand vessels this year, it was previously an active seller, disposing of 10 panamax bulkers last year and 17 vessels in 2016.
