Oslo's Awilco Container is set for further investments in the containership segment.
European shiprokers said the Norwegian company, a spinoff of Awilco, has purchased the the bank-controlled 4,300-teu Ital Mattina (built 2007) for $11.5m.
Awilco Container managing director Jens-Julius Nygaard confirmed the company is interested in the Hyundai Mipo Dockyard-built vessel but he insisted a deal has not been concluded.
