Indonesians spent more money on sale and purchase deals in the first quarter of 2018, but bought fewer ships compared to a year ago.
Jakarta-based shipowners have spent close to $100m buying some nine vessels in the first three months of this year, according to data from VesselsValue.
In contrast Indonesian principals acquired 12 vessels in the first quarter of 2017, but paid just $84m in total for the ships.
