Trafigura has doubled its VLGC orderbook at Hyundai Heavy Industries.
It first turned to Hyundai for a pair of 80,000-cbm ships in January in a deal reported to have been done alongside lessor China Construction Bank.
Now, Trafigura has taken up options on two more VLGCs at the world’s largest shipbuilder for delivery in 2020.
A spokesperson for Trafigura confirmed the deal when contracted by TradeWinds today.
