The sale of an 11-year-old, Japanese-built supramax bulker by Global United Shipping India (GUSI) may indicate pressure on values for the ship type.
Executives at GUSI and Athens operator Seastar Chartering have confirmed the sale, with the 56,000-dwt Nandini (built 2007) changing hands for $12.25m — a touch less than the $12.3m that European brokers had reported.
