China's Zhongchang Marine has expanded its fleet with seven new ships as markets improve.
The Zhejiang-based owner acquired the bulkers through a financial leasing programme, its president Huang Shenghui told the Xinhua news agency.
The deal brought its fleet to 17 vessels.
Its capacity has increased from 430,000 dwt to 780,000 dwt, suggesting an average size of 50,000-dwt for each of the new arrivals.
