Greek supramax operator Polforce Shipping is pushing ahead with its fleet renewal plans, purchasing the last bulker in the former fleet of Turkey’s Deniz Nakliyati.
Brokers and owning sources in Athens said the Eleftherios Polemis-led company had taken delivery of the 58,000-dwt DN Vatan (built 2011) earlier this month. The company declined to comment on the transaction but market sources said the SPP Shipbuilding-constructed vessel changed hands for $15.7m
