Bibby Offshore group of companies and Rever Offshore AS are to merge to create a "larger and more robust" offshore installation delivery business both in the North Sea and internationally.
Both companies are majority-owned by US hedge fund York Capital Management.
Rever’s subsidiaries include subsea contractor Cecon Contracting as well as two vessel companies which own both the Cecon Excellence and the Cecon Sovereign.
