Seaspan shares came to life yesterday after a swoop for Greater China Intermodal.
Its stock opened at $5.75 each on Wednesday and touched a high of $6.34 before closing at $6.27 each.
In total 5.41 million Seaspan shares were traded yesterday, more than double the activity seen the previous day.
The transaction, which carried an enterprise value of $1.6bn, took the Seapsan fleet from 94 to 112 vessels.
