Norwegian containership owner Thor Dahl Shipping has appointed Henning Torp as chief executive.
Torp has been with the Sandefjord-based company since 2016 and was previously head of Klaveness in China for five years. He succeeds William L’Orange, who had led Thor Dahl for five years.
Thor Dahl, founded in 1887, suffered a pre-tax loss of NOK 103m ($12.9m) in 2016 as it had to conduct extensive write-downs on its vessel values, losing most of its equity.
