Shipowners say they are generally afraid of getting hacked on the high seas and at shore in today's age of digital information.
"Everyone's worrying about it because it's a threat that never goes away," said Sean Day, chairman emeritus of Teekay Corp.
His New York-listed conglomerate "is constantly monitoring all aspects" of cyber threats and instructs its employees on how to best prevent it.
