Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) says it has ordered its first ever LNG-powered tugboat as Japan looks to make greater use of the environmentally friendly fuel source.
The vessel will be built at Kanagawa Dockyard Co with construction set to begin next month and launching is scheduled for April 2019.
Upon delivery the ship will be operated by Kobe-based Nihon Tug-Boat Co and will be deployed in Osaka Bay.
