A week after Jamaica reported its first ship auction, there are contradicting reports about the identity of the buyer picked by the Caribbean nation’s authorities.
The sale of the 34,500-dwt Trading Fabrizia (built 2011) attracted huge local attention and strong buying interest, with more than 20 owners tabling bids. Market sources identified Bluefin Marine of Greece as the auction's victor, at a price of $10.3m.
