A small tanker has been used in an audacious multi-million dollar oil heist from one of Singapore’s largest refineries.
Nine Singaporeans and two Vietnamese men were charged on Tuesday over their alleged involvement in stealing fuel from Shell’s Pulau Bukom refinery.
A total of 4,384t of gasoil, valued at SGD 2.4m ($1.8m), was allegedly stolen between November 2017 and 7 January this year, according to court documents.
