Strong buyer interest as Greek bulker goes under the hammer in Singapore

Ten bids were received when a Greek-owned panamax bulker went under the hammer in Singapore last Friday.

Merchant Marine Management (MMM)’s 91,900-dwt Americana (built 2010) was sold for just over SGD 20m ($14.8m), court officials confirmed to TradeWinds on Tuesday.

The winning bid was submitted through a local law firm this week. The identity of the buyer had not been made public by the time TradeWinds went to press.
