Denmark’s Hafnia Tankers has stepped up efforts to secure a New York listing through a merger with an eye toward a deal in the early part of 2018, financial market sources say.
The Mikael Skov-led product tanker owner has hired merger-and-acquisition advisory firm PJT Partners and begun approaching already listed owners about a potential deal, market sources indicate.
“They’re doing a full-court press between now and the end of the year with an eye toward getting something done after the first of the year,” said one person familiar with the effort.
