India's JSW Infrastructure wants to charter 30 ships in a $180m push to secure tonnage for its coastal cargoes.
The energy and ports company, part of Jindal Group, is seeking river-sea vessels to serve its steel and cement plants via its terminals in Jaigarh and Dharamtar.
The idea is to cut costs and promote coastal and river shipping over roads, the Hindu Business Line reported.
