South Korean prosecutors have turned down a police request for an arrest warrant for Hanjin Group chairman Cho Yang-ho.
The warrant was sought in connection with allegations that the executive, on whose watch Hanjin Shipping collapsed, had embezzled funds to renovate his home.
But Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office said it had instructed the police to further investigate the case to substantiate the allegations, the Yonhap news agency said.
