A few weeks after swooping on one of the four kamsarmax bulkers sold by Greek peer Chronos Shipping, the Vafias Group has upped the stakes with the acquisition of two more.
Market sources in Athens identify Vafias dry bulk management company Brave Maritime as the buyer of a Japanese-built kamsarmax pair in two separate deals worth almost $40m in total.
