Venture Global is kicking off the process towards a final investment decision on its third Louisiana LNG production plant, the 28-mtpa CP2.
The US liquefaction producer, which controls a fleet of 11 carriers — nine of them owned — said it has progressed its CP2 development, having spent $4bn on construction, engineering and design to 31 December 2024.
The two-phase project is scheduled to start production in the second half of 2027.
