New liquefaction project LNG Canada is preparing for its long-planned mid-2025 start-up and has booked a commissioning cargo.
Shell and Petronas-backed LNG Canada, which is building a $30bn, 14-mtpa project on the Canadian west coast, said it would take delivery of a cooldown shipment in early April at its marine terminal in Kitimat, British Columbia, for equipment testing.
It declined to say where the cargo would come from and said the vessel’s name will be shared when it has that information.
